Quick Exterior Updates

Let’s start with the exterior of your home. Take a walk around your home to identify any new issues; be sure to bring a notepad so you can quickly jot down anything that needs attending to. Some items that your list might include are:

  • Washing windows
  • Touching-up chipped or weathered paint
  • Power-washing your siding
  • Cleaning gutters

All of these tasks are quick ways to give new life to your home exterior and get it into shape for the warm Spring and Summer months.

Simple Landscaping Updates

Whether it’s cleaning up the residue from Fall and Winter, or projects that you’ve been putting off for a while, now is the perfect time to make your lawn better than ever! Like we recommend with your home exterior, take a walk through your lawn and note any areas that need work. Creating this list will help you decide which supplies you need and the order in which you need to complete each item. Some Spring lawn care items you might consider are:

  • Re-seeding dead grass spots from pets, etc.
  • Fertilizing your grass
  • Pulling weeds from flower beds and other landscaping
  • Replacing old mulch
  • Trimming overgrown bushes and trees
  • Mowing the lawn
  • Raking leaves from last Fall
  • Planting new, annual flowers

All these items can be done without professional help as long as you have the proper equipment, and they make great family activities on a sunny Spring day!

We wish you luck and a lot of sunny days as you embark on your outdoor Spring-Cleaning chores!
